A few years ago, we were struggling to drive traffic to one of our websites. We were immediately overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge and skill it took to successfully drive traffic to our site. We had assumed that if we created a site that was worth seeing, it would be seen. We could not have been more wrong.
We ran into a number of companies who offered to take over this daunting task for us. We decided to try out a number of them to see how our competition stacks up.
They offered many packages of visitors. I remember my first purchase. I bought 5,000 targeted hits from them for $10. My product cost $15 at the time, so I figured at least 1 person out of 10,000 would purchase. The days went by, and my counter went crazy.
The Results
After our contract expired, all my hits had been delivered as expected. I did not have one sale!!
I Should Have Learned My Lesson!
Thinking this had to be a fluke.. I switched to another company, and bought the same package.
Again, I GOT NO SALES!!
I couldn’t figure out what was going on. I was confident my ad’s were written well. The site was well designed and planned, and my product was in demand…
I Started To Investigate
Frustrated, I started to investigate exactly where these visitors were coming from. I discovered, that I had fallen victim to one of the most common scams on the internet. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first discovered the secrets these company’s use to drive traffic to the clients sites.
I checked the script I had installed that was used to check detailed stats on all of our traffic. All 10,000 of our hits came in 2 days, and all 10,000 of them were logged in for less than 3 seconds. Not a single one of them navigated past our main page. My stats script will also tell me where my traffic was referred from, and what keywords they used. All of these hits had the same referral, and didn’t use keywords. This last fact isn’t important, because any company, good or bad, will redirect their traffic sources through their domain. This is just to keep competitors from stealing their sources (good or bad).
I believe that these company’s are going to pay for their greed and dishonesty sometime in the near future.
In the next few pages, we are going to reveal exactly how these greedy companies scam you. This will help you avoid such scams, and put your money to good use, instead of wasting it.
You Will Be Shocked at what these company’s do to send you traffic!
This is the most immoral, unethical, and dishonest business practice I have ever come across online. These companies know exactly what they’re doing. After all, if their traffic methods work, wouldn’t they use it themselves? Why is a company offering millions of hits to their visitors, when they are only getting 10-15 hits a day? They don’t use their own methods, because they know their hits are useless.
I fell victim to this scam, as have thousands of others. These companies give you a sales pitch something like this…
Suppose that you sell a product for $25 and that in a worst case scenario only 1% of your visitors purchase your product.
An average site gets less than 100 hits per day (3,000/month). Thus, approximately 30 people will purchase the product every month (1% of 3,000). That means you are taking in only $750 per month (30 x $25)
With our service: Suppose the site owner (you) purchases 100,000 visitors with our service. Using our assumption that only 1% of visitors will purchase the product, a total of 1,000 purchases will be made. That’s a value of$25,000! And that is if only 1% of visitors purchase the product! Think about the return on your investment!
If you’re like me, you got pretty excited when you read that. After all, there’s no conceivable way you can’t at least earn your investment back, right? WRONG!!
You give in, order their service, and at first, you get excited, because traffic is pouring in! Soon you realize that your money is earning you nothing. In fact it’s costing you your bandwidth, and not delivering any results!
Of course no company, no matter how credible they are, can guarantee you sales. That depends highly on your ad copy, price, and the demand of the item. I can guarantee though, that some of these company’s have thousands of clients, and not one of their clients has ever made a sale.
I bought my traffic… Now where are all my orders?
Now remember, worst case scenario is that 1% of your visitors will buy your product. Right? WRONG! If that’s the case, then where are your orders? These company’s place these ads right in your face when you visit their website. This way, your sold before you even see the price, and you’ll buy into their high prices.
Naturally you are going to believe that you’ll pay off your “investment” right away, and make a ton of extra money. After all, you spent hours writing that “perfect ad,” so you’re going to draw in a lot more than 1%.
I’ll let you in on a secret. No matter how good your ad is, it doesn’t do any good if it’s never read.
You sit there and watch traffic come flying in at hyperspeed. Then they fly out. You don’t make any sales. What do you do now? If you’re like me, you’re going to email them, complaining how you didn’t make any sales from their services. They’re going to tell you some variation of the following…
“I’m sorry you didn’t make any sales. If you read our terms, you would see that we can only guarantee that we send the traffic to you. The sales are your responsibility. We cannot guarantee sales, because we are not involved in the writing of the advertisement.”
This leaves them clean from delivering any refunds. Trust me, they won’t refund your money!
Starting to get suspicious? The truth is your traffic was delivered in a misleading way.
You were sent FAKE VISITORS, or GHOST VISITORS, as they are widely called online.
Have you been tracking your traffic?
Many people don’t realize that there are free scripts that you can install on your site to track detailed statistics about your traffic. I’m not talking about counters. Counters are inaccurate, plus they don’t tell you anything about your visitors.
If you actually monitor your traffic, you can learn lots of things about your visitors. Including the countries they’re from, their IP addresses, the time they came to your site, the time they left your site, the site’s they were referred from (google, yahoo, etc..), and the keywords they used to search for your site.
My statistics were shocking!
The traffic I ordered had no IP address, no search engine, none of my visitors navigated past the front page! I paid for these “Guarantee’d Real Visitors,” and I have the right to know where they come from. Guess what, I figured it out!
A few of the hits that they had sent, slipped up, and didn’t disguise their origin as well as they should have…
I kept seeing the same IP address over and over and over again about 900 times in one day. I thought somebody out there really must love my web site or it’s the scam hit company I hired. Well I clicked the link that night which was labeled with an IP address, not the actual web site .com name itself just the numbers of the IP address….I clicked that and wouldn’t you know it? I received just a site telling me it doesn’t exist.
With my campaign still running the next day along with all the “unknown” places I seen a peculiar url and had to click that to see where over 500 of the same people were coming from and I ended up in Pop Up hell! You know that hell don’t you? Where you are swarmed with so many pop ups that you literally have to pull the plug on your computer to get out of it? The sad part about that link is that all the Pop Ups were from PORNO sites!
It’s no wonder these companies don’t tell where they deliver their traffic from! After all, what ethical business wants to advertise on those disgusting adult sites?
So you want to know exactly how this all works?
After following the slipped up referral link, I was directed to a website where anyone can post their own free adult site. (If your going to try and follow these links yourself, I would suggest switching your browser to text only mode, as I did. Otherwise you’ll get flooded with pop-ups, and disgusting porno pictures.)
Now we have determined that my traffic was coming from this site, but I didn’t see my site at all…
I switched back to my traffic log, and hit refresh. I WAS STUNNED! At the top of my log, I had 12 hits to my site, all with my IP address!!! By viewing this site just once, I recieved 12 hits!!
I switched over to www.Alexa.com. Alexa is a site ranking service, that can tell you how popular a site is. This adult site that I was listed on was recieving 786,376 hits per day, on average during that week. Multiply that by 12, and that’s where all my traffic came from!
So now we know what site is generating the traffic, but how are they disguising the IP address. Why wasn’t my site ever shown on screen to me? The answer lies in the HTML source code…
Here are the secret codes!!
One of the tricks that these companies use is a the way they hide where your traffic is coming from. The way they do this is through a redirect code. A redirect code is simply a cade that webmasters use on their websites to take one website and send it another way.
The biggest trick is how they can mysteriously load your site multiple times, without you seeing it. They do this by embedding your site into theirs, and making it tiny. So tiny in fact, that it looks like a period. So instead of using periods at the end of their sentances, they just embed their clients sites sites to look like a period.
Try it for yourself
Open up your HTML editor, or notepad, and create a sample page using this code.
Now open it in your web browser. What you get is a small box in the left hand corner of your website. For this example, I made the code 5x larger than these companies do. So you can see how easily they disguise these sites. Inside that little square, is actually an entire website!!
So your thinking, they just embed my site into that little square, 10-15 times on the page, and that’s where my hits come from. Yes, and No. Essentially that’s how it works, but if they put your website into that square, you could easily trace the traffic back to the adult site. So what they do is put their redirect page into that square, and redirect it to your site, so now it looks like all the traffic is coming from them.
So let’s put it all together.
You order traffic from a traffic company.
The traffic company creates a free adult site and lists it into a directory of free adult sites. According to our alexa review these sites get 786,376 hits per day. If their redirect page gets 12 hits every time someone loads the adult site, that means they have an average of 9,436,512 hits per day, which they divide among their clients.
For some of the Monster Traffic Companies, 9.5 million visitors a day just isn’t enough. They can easily turn that 9.5 million visitors, into as many as they need. Instead of embedding the redirect page. They embed a page full of these periods. That way, when their “period farm” page loads, they can have as many sites load as they want.
They simply change the redirect page to whatever client they want the traffic sent to.
Your counter goes crazy, and all your hits are delivered.
You never make a sale. Now you can understand how you could have thousands of visitors sent your way, and never make a sale. Your site is never really displayed.
The traffic company has delivered exactly what they said they would, and are clear from any refunds.

Anyone who owns a website knows the importance of website traffic. You may have a terrific idea for a website with an excellent product or service, superb design, content and functionality but if you do not use the right tactics, your site may not attract the all important highly targeted website traffic. Getting a lot of traffic into a site has very little to do with the site itself but with how the webmaster or site owner advertises it. With hundreds of competing sites, you must employ the most effective internet marketing techniques that will truly deliver results.
There are different internet marketing techniques that you can use. All these techniques and methods aim at increasing your website traffic. You must find a way for web surfers to find your site. To do this, you must put yourself in the shoes of your prospective visitors and future clients and see the internet through their eyes. Where do they usually go whenever they are looking up something on the web? The answer is the search engine; in fact, the two most popular websites on the web today are both search engines and portals. Thus, you should focus your internet marketing efforts on the search engine.
People will usually search for something using a search engine and click on the top results that these engines give. Therefore, you must use the right internet marketing techniques to get a high search engine ranking. To gain a high ranking in search results, you can use several internet marketing techniques. Search engine optimization is a set of methods that are aimed at improving the visibility of your site in search engine results. Since a search engine indexes sites by looking at its keyword density, your site’s content must have favorable keyword density that is search engine friendly. Content is one of the most important internet marketing technique itself. If you have excellent content that is geared towards achieving a high search engine ranking as well as provide information then you can expect a high search engine ranking. However, this is not as easy as it sounds. Countless other sites may be using the same internet marketing technique as you do. Thus, you must continuously find new ways of attracting more website traffic.
Aside from the traditional marketing techniques such as print ads, billboards, brochures, testimonials, flyers etc. you must use other more effective internet marketing techniques to gain more website traffic. One of the most popular internet marketing technique today is submitting articles. Writing and submitting articles is an extremely powerful method for promoting your websites, products, and services.
By writing short articles on the topic related to your website, you can offer these articles for other website owners or newsletter publishers to use by submitting them to an article directory.
These directories get spidered by the search engines on a regular basis because of the high value of the content they provide. If you have not yet been picked up by the search engines this is the easiest way to get them to find you. You also get exposure to those who look for articles in the directories for use on their sites.
When they make use of your articles on their websites or in their newsletters, you will get the credit as the author along with a link to your website. Not only will you gain visitors, but you will benefit from the hyperlinks that are created.
This internet marketing technique is now being used by thousands of site owners. It is also gaining popularity because of its relatively high success rate in attracting high website traffic.

As site managers, our objective is to use links to “vote” so the search engines will show our site for the term being targeted. The question is; which is more important, quality links, or a lot of links?
The recent Google index update (dubbed the Jagger update Oct 2005) has many webmasters very upset that their site appears to have dropped from the SERPS (search engine result pages). They fell off for several reasons, either they were using deceitful practices (which seem to have become more strict during this update -hidden text, hidden links, etc) or they were counting on their huge link campaigns to float them to the finish line. In other words, having many links from sites that are not relevant and are not authority pages.
Our definition of an authority page is:
It shows up for a search term
It has some page rank (hopefully a 5 or greater)
It is re-indexed often (it’s cache date is recent).
It has back-links from sites other than it’s own domain.
For a long time now people have been using link-exchange as their primary course of action to increase link popularity. This generates many links with your preferred anchor text in each, distributed across many domains. This is “quantity”, having many links.
When running a campaign the competitions overall links are considered. Knowing some things about the sites that show up in the top 3 positions is critical. How many links do they have is where many people stop. A successful campaign will consider many other factors, such as:
How many unique domain links?
How many of those links have the target phrase in anchor?
If the pages that link to your site are relevant:
Do they have the phrase in the title?
Is the content on that page focused around the target phrase?
Does it show up for the target phrase in the SERP?
Do others link to that page with that anchor?
How many links are on the page?
What is page rank of the page?
How recent is the cache date?
Some have said these efforts are too extensive, and bear no fruit. However the Jagger update dropped those sites that did not make any of these considerations. Including sites that have 800 unique domain links with solid anchor density. Why is that? Probably because the concept behind google’s ranking revolves around the idea of “reference”, just as a college paper is considered important if many future college papers refer to it. How natural those references are is somewhat difficult for Google to determine, all except link exchanges, those are quite easy for Google to see and dismiss (or lower their overall weight).
As one puts forth the effort to obtain 10 link-exchanges, they could have put forth the same effort and obtained 2 or more alternative links. Links that meet the criteria. A link for the sake of having a link is no longer as valuable. We feel a link-exchange link is now 10 times less powerful.
Scenario A) 4 links (we’ll call them “natural links”) on relevant pages, pages that are cached often, have no more than 5 outbound links, and have page rank of 5, with two of those links containing the {target-phrase} in the anchor text, the other two having the phrase {phrase-target} in the anchor text will deliver more results.
Scenario B) 40 links from irrelevant pages, that have an old cache date, PR no greater than 2, and 30+ outbound links. Having the phrases be just as scattered across each 40 as the above in anchor.
We have found that until now Scenario B was credible. We have observed that many of the campaigns that use this method as their primary method of ranking have dropped off the SERPS. They are sites that have been on the first page for years, using nothing but link exchanges and directory participation as their primary means of link building; with very few sponsored links to hold their weight.
Those campaigns that set aside a substantial amount of their marketing budget for sponsored links each month have remained. Actually, they’ve increased, mostly because the competitors that used Scenario B dropped off, leaving room in top positions for their site.
One way, relevant links from pages that have Page Rank are cached often from authority pages (not necessarily sites that are authority, but pages that show up for a search term), have won Google over and are now a requirement for any competitive phrase.
Getting to the top for a phrase is well worth the time, it’s worth money to the client. It has a direct impact on their bottom line the first month they begin showing up for the term. The growth potential of a company can now be directly related to how high they are in the SERP for a competitive term that is searched often. As you begin to rank higher and higher your competitors must spend to get above you, if you are higher and can stay higher you may just force them to spend more than they have and price them out of the market.
These are just some of the small factors to consider when running a campaign.
There are hundreds of “free article submission” sites that will gladly accept your articles written to provide readers with useful information. As long as these articles are not thinly disguised sales letters, but provide solid content, these sites will accept them for publication, copyright free. In turn, they will then make those articles available for reading–and for publication–for anyone else browsing their article archives.
Ezine publishers hungering for good, quality information to provide to their subscribers will include some of these articles in their own publications. Soon, your articles are making their way across the Internet. …And at the end of each article (and as a stipulation for free publication), is your resource box, a brief description of you–and a link back to your web site! Soon, you are getting targeted traffic from visitors who have read your article, found information about you in the resource box, and clicked on your web site link provided there. Don’t underestimate the value of those links from your articles back to your web site.
It’s a well known fact that the biggest search engine on the Internet (Google) uses link backs to increase search rankings as it indexes web pages. The more links you have back to your web site, the higher your web page rises in the search rankings! It’s really quite difficult to get there any other way, unless you want to pay for sponsored advertisements! But why would you pay for an ad–when you’ve already invested enough money in your business as it is, and when there is a FREE way to get all of the traffic that you need?
BUT THERE’S A PROBLEM…
In order for you to really benefit from article posting, you’ve got to get your article published in as many of these sites as possible. Five or even ten sites just won’t do it. You want hundreds and even thousands of visitors to flood your web site! The only way to increase the number of visitors is to increase the number of sites that you post to. Unfortunately, posting to hundreds of article submission sites by hand WILL take you hours! Each article has its own site with its own forms to fill out. Imagine writing an article, and then spending a whole week trying to get it posted to over a hundred article submission sites. The tedium of this kind of manual labor may make you think twice about writing (and posting) your next article.
Unfortunately, there are some article submission service and software available in the market. All of them can save you lots of time and energy. Usually, article submission service is more expensive. Because of that, more and more users choose to use automation software to post their articles automatically to hundreds of article sites and mail lists.
We will provide some unbiased 3rd party reviews of different automation software. Stay tune for our next message.

So many web sites come and go on a daily basis.
There are marketing companies that have email programs that can distribute your advertisement via email to consumers and business prospect seekers. You can announce your new web site, market your product or service or just introduce your company; they have programs that can do the job. They can distribute your email advertisement to over 150,000 people that have opted-in and who want to read your email message and announcement about your product and or service.

Great website! You have done your work, now how to get traffic flowing to your site. A stampede of visitors sounds very good doesn’t it? A beautiful site without traffic is dead. A little secret I have learnt on my journey is that some poorly developed sites get great traffic and you ask how they do it?
Traffic comes from various sources, the main one being the search engines. We can examine the ways to get traffic and the inherent drawback if it is not done properly.
1. Search engines
These are the major way to get traffic. By submitting your site to Google and yahoo, you have set the ball rolling to getting great traffic. But often times ( and this is the part the SEO fail to tell you) , submitting your site means just that submitting.
First, it make takes weeks and months to get your site indexed by the major engines. So in the meanwhile get busy submitting to all the other engines you can , you stand a greater chance of being indexed and listed.
When you do get indexed by the major engines unless you are a niche marketer and or your site is well optimized and able to keep up with the ever changing algorithmic rules of the engine, you will not rank too highly.
Not ranking highly affects how many traffic you get. After all, how many people search through results to #3,876,456, and trust me that is a real page rank number. So maybe its time to look at other options if the search engines fail you the first time around.
2. Linking
Who’s linking to you. Linking plays an important role in determining your page rank. How important is still the subject of debate. The fact is there are two types of link techniques considered by the engines. One way back links and reciprocal links. Now which one is better is also a hot topic, but it might just be that one way incoming links to your site has more weight. At least with the search engines current logarithms. That does not mean reciprocal linking does not work, and in fact since it is easier to get, might be your initial starting point with links.
Whichever method you choose, ensure that you link to reputable sites and avoid site with a lower pr value than yours. Make sure the content on the site is relevant to yours as it gives added boosts to your sites ratings.
One quick way to get links is from link partners wherein an automated system is set up to link subscribers. There are monthly fees, and be advised that to pay large amounts of money to persons who will just use a link farm to produce your links makes no sense. If you are going to use it make sure you keep your monthly cost down.
While this methods of garnering links works well, there is talk that the engines are not looking favourable on it. But then again there is always talk. The trick is to keep you eyes and ears open for new developments with the search engines.
At the end of it all, can you get traffic from the link method you will choose?. If so, then choose what works for you. If there was one magic and correct way, then there would not be so many self help books on SEO and search engine algorithms. They are many sites who do not rank high on the search algorithms but do quite well because they get their traffic from link partners.
3. Buy Traffic
When all else fails or like many in addition to, you can purchase traffic. Simply enter web traffic into Google and see the results. There are both free and paid traffic hosts.
The free ones are quite good if you have the time to view someone else’s’ site, and I have personally used some and have tracked the stats. But sometimes it takes viewing up to 5 sites to get one visitor to you. Another drawback can be that the person only want enough credits so that they can get their own visitors, so they do not really visit your site as so as to check your merchandise, they simply load your page. This does not help you sell.
Traffic sites sell traffic to you as country specific, global, targeted and untargeted. The more targeted the visitor the more likely your chance to convert into a purchasing customer. The cost of the traffic package will vary depending on the type of traffic bought. Do not spend unnecessarily high amounts on traffic that may very well be an automated system ‘visiting’ your site. Do your research of these sites carefully before buying plans. Keep the amount low and if necessary spend it around different traffic sites. it is less like that you will lose all your money that way, and if one is ripping you off, chances are(we hope!) not all of them will.
Targeting traffic for your website is as easy as knowing how to simply direct traffic to your website rather than another one. The information web surfers are looking for is usually available on hundreds if not thousands of websites, so you have to make sure you are extremely diligent about keeping your website high in the search engine rankings. There are several ways you can do this which include links, keywords, and pay per click advertising.
#1 - Get Links
Getting other web pages to link to your website is very important and something you should focus on heavily. There are software programs you can install that will help you with this, but there is nothing like the personal touch. So, do some research and find the top sites that you are interested in having a link to your website. Then, contact them personally noting the good qualities of their website and how you believe a link from them would help your business and vice versa. If you are willing to link as well, then the other sites will likely respond positively. This is the best way to go and you certainly you will gain more links and higher rankings in the search engines.
#2 - Include Keywords
Make sure you do some research regarding the main keywords that pertain to your website. Then, include these words in your content, especially in titles and in the beginnings of paragraphs. Search engines rely heavily on keywords, so make sure you have your page optimized for specific keywords so you will get returned high in the rankings. You can easily do a search for your keywords and see where you rank and also find out if your rankings need work. However, one thing you should definitely not do is try and trick the search engines with invisible keywords as this could get you blacklisted. This is the worst case scenario, but it happens frequently to people who try to trick the search engines. Don’t let this happen to you and simply find out what search engines look for and then optimize your page accordingly.
#3 - Pay per Click Advertising
Pay per click advertising is another way for you to generate traffic to your website and you only have to pay when someone clicks on your advertisiment. The way this works is you bid on specific keywords so that when these keywords are searched for, your ad shows up on the web page along with the search results. The higher you bid on ad placement, the higher your ad is displayed. Generally, no more than 10 ads are displayed on a page and you’ll want to be within the top four ads for optimal exposure.
These three tools are great ways for you to increase your traffic as well as target the visitors that you want to come to your website. By implementing these suggestions in your marketing plan you will quickly realize more sales.

Expired domains, how can I receive traffic from them? Can I profit from expired domains?
Those are two very important questions you are asking yourself. Here is the bottom line. You are probably like most on-line entrepreneurs. You have been struggling to snatch your share of that whirl wind of traffic that you hear about from every guru wannabe out there.
Chances are you have probably invested strongly in banner ads, classified ads, search engines or even spent a pile on so-called “safe lists” only to find yourself disappointed again and again.
There is a perfectly legal, outrageously effective, traffic generation technique that, until now, has gone relatively unnoticed by the masses.
What if you could recover existing web traffic that is currently being overlooked and basically being flushed down the toilet?
What if you could grab one of those prized listings in Yahoo that cost $200 with no guarantee you’ll even be included in the directory?
What if you could get that traffic for a fraction of what other advertising methods charge?
Expired domains might be an option to mull over. Every day over 3 million hits of targeted traffic are lost due to abandoned web sites.
Why does this happen?
Webmasters may lose interest or they don’t have the money or time to manage the site. Occasionally they just forget to renew. A large part of these expired domain clicks come from sites that were never developed. BUT, some were once solid sites generating traffic and sales.
Expired domains is all about capturing all the effort, time and money that the previous owner developed and putting it to good use for yourself.
What if a domain name had link popularity, had a coveted dotcom (.com) extension, or was even listed in Yahoo or had Google Page Ranking?
What is Link Popularity? Simply put, Link Popularity is the number of other websites that link to your site. Doesn’t it stand to reason that if a domain name previously had Link Popularity or was one of those coveted dotcoms or was even listed in Yahoo, that it might have once been a thriving website?
Not only that, but with a little time and effort, you might even be able to pick up some popular domain names just for conjecture or to resell on eBay ! Many of the domain names that expire every day could be resold even without Link Popularity or any of the other “carrots” because they just happen to be highly regarded as a tangible asset. Short, descriptive domain names that end in a “.com” or “.net” are examples of this.
The best part is that you can get these names for the price of registering them, often for less than $10!
Even if you didn’t use the domain name to redirect traffic to your own web site, if you find a couple and sell them at auction for $25, $50 or more, that’s a pretty suitable return on a very small investment.
A certain amount of caution needs to be taken when using this tool for any purpose. Make certain you do a bit of homework to make sure the previous web site was not an adult site. Occasionally the domain name may not necessarily reflect the former content. There is a tool that can be used to determine the history of the site. Best of all, it’s free! Here is the link:
Are you looking into the best ways to increase your Google page rank? If you are, this article will give you some free tips on how to achieve this. I hope you enjoy the read.
There are many webmasters who are looking into ways to increase traffic and on how to obtain a higher page rank for their websites. I myself have many websites which I am always looking to promote.
PPC
Pay per click is where you agree to pay a certain amount of money when people click on an advert that you have created. Programs such as adwords from the search engine Google allow you to place an advert on the right hand side of their search results. Which position you are placed in depends on how much you are willing to spend per click, it is like a kind of auction. Be careful not to spend more on the adverts than you are likely to receive in income. This can be very popular especially if your website is fairly new and is low down in the natural search results.
Paid text adverts
Paid text adverts is another way of attracting additional visitors to your website and it also has the potential of increasing your Google page rank. If the advert is on a high ranking page, this may well on its own lead you to moving up a level in your page rank. If the page is a high traffic page, part of this traffic could well be redirected to your website. I personally would only ever consider paying for a text advert on a website which was related to my own and which had a page rank of five or six.
Writing articles
I believe that the best way of promoting your website is by writing articles like the one you are reading. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website, as you are able to include a link to your website in the article. Other webmasters are able to use the articles on their websites which creates you a one way backward link. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links.
Link exchange program
As I have just stated, it is vitally important to spend time building up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program can seriously reduce your workload, and people have told me that linkmetro is quite good.
Search engines have become so intimidating lately - most people
think that search engines are just out to get them - everyone’s
becoming afraid… They also think that getting #1 rankings
is near impossible.
Yes, if you’re trying to trick search engines, THEN - they’re
out to get you - BIG TIME.
BUT, if you’re willing to work with them and help them,
then they can seriously be your business’s best friend.
Here’s how:
—————————————-
Writing Articles for Search Engines
—————————————-
Actually, you’re writing articles for TWO people.
1. Search Engines
2. Your Potential Customers
. Why for Search Engines?
Because search engines love content, and it’s that very content
that let’s you invite traffic from search engines.
These articles help you optimize your website for search
engine rankings (more on this in a bit).
. Why for Potential Customers?
Because these articles are what your prospects are looking
for on search engines - they land on that page, find the
information they need and then see your “recommendation”
- aka affiliate link and they click, click BUY.
So, your articles eventually lead to sales and commission
for you.
So once again, the purpose of articles:
. Provide content/information for:
. Search Engines
. Potential customers
. Promoting traffic to your affiliate program
—————————————-
Optimizing your Articles with Keywords
—————————————-
We don’t want to make your head spin here, so we’ll try to keep
this AS simple as possible.
There are certain places you want to insert your keywords
when building an article webpage.
Here they are:
. The title of the page
. The Description META Tag
. The Keyword META Tag
. In your Headline, use HTML Tag < h1 >< /h1 >
. Your first line of text
. Once or twice per paragraph
. Once/Twice in bold
. In the text of a link
Some other tips:
. In your graphics - use keyword in HTML ALT tag
. Use a secondary keyword also - a few times
Some Cautions:
. Don’t Overkill - repeating your keyword an obsense number
of times will not help you at all - it will hurt you.
. Never hide keywords - never.
. Nothing tricky - if it’s tricky, don’t do it.
. Don’t have a LONG keyword META tag
The above is how most search engines determine how relevant
your webpage is to a specific keyword.
This is NOT the only element involved in search
engine optimization, however, it’s one the most important.
The next strategy we’re going to discuss is also critical -
for Google, especially.
You can learn a lot more about How to Dominate Search Engines
and also get Step by Step Instructions to turn that traffic
into $300.00, $600.00 or $900.00/month in residual
income at DominateSearchEngines.

A Linking Strategy
———————————–
Alright, now, we’re going to discuss the one, quite possibly
most important element to ranking well in Google - the #
of incoming links.
Google has been giving more and more importance to what they
call their “PR” - short for Page Rank. The PR is based
on a scale of 1-10 and the higher it is, the more incoming
links you have.
The PR is determined by the number of INCOMING and OUTGOING
links you have. You should have the maximum number
of incoming links.
See, Google’s theory is that by having a site link to you,
that website is basically “voting” for you - that site
is telling Google
“Hey, I like that website, it has good content, I feel
comfortable sending MY visitors there, so should you…”
The more sites that tell Google that, the more willing Google
is to send it’s traffic.
So, bottom line, recruit incoming links.
—– How?—–
How did we know you’re going to ask that million
dollar question?
Our answer is not that “great” -
“Just ask…”
Contact websites in your niche and ask them for a link exchange.
How to find these websites?
Check the sites linking to your competition on Alexa.com
Do a search on Google.com for your keyword and contact all
the relevant websites.
Send them an e-mail, call them, etc…and let them know what’s
in it for them - a reciprocal link to help THEM with search
engine optimization as well.
NOTE: A linking strategy is VERY important if you want
any chance at making it to the Top 10 page on Google and
then staying there…
