Application maintenance and regular system performance checks can help in preventing such occasions arising. They won’t be able to do anything about the weather or the road-works outside the office, they will however, ensure that your software is protected and secure and that your hardware is in good condition.
Don’t take the risk of not properly securing your business systems. Regular checks can mean a small amount of downtime but this is usually nothing compared to the potential time that can be lost when an entire server or system fails. Business is hard enough these days and there aren’t many businesses that need any more challenges along the way, take care of your business software and systems and you should have at least one less thing to worry about.
